About Me

I wear many hats.  I am a wife, married 33 years to a very patient man.  I am a mother of 5 wonderful children ages 16, 16, 21, 22 and 26.  I am also a mother-in-law to a wonderful new daughter and I’m now a Grandma!!!!  I have been homeschooling for 22 years to very patient children.  I am a writer “extraordinaire” according to those who love me and I am a speaker, actually it is hard to keep me quiet.  But most of all I am the daughter of the King of Kings and it is by his love and guidance that I share with you.

After blogging for six and a half years, I am even more convinced that the overly busy, crazy lifestyle most of us live is detrimental on many levels.  It harms our families, our relationships, our walk with God and even our very own souls.  This blog is my effort to not only remind myself, but encourge others to slow down and find true life.

I am also the author of a wonderful book on this topic; and I’m in the process of seeking publication.

If you live in the Kokomo area, I am also available to speak at your event.  You can contact me here on this blog or at my e-mail:

What a great picture of you! It should be larger, not just a thumbnail. That way we can get the full impact of that lovely smile you carry around with you and are so generous with! Enjoy your special weekend!

    Hey Debbie,
I sat down very early in the morning and read your blogs for a while. God has certainly given you a gift of “a pen and a page.” That comes from a song – look it up sometime on you tube – you might enjoy the lyrics. It’s entitled something like “The words I would say.” Enjoyed them all a lot – really liked “Every last drop.” God bless you!
